A store of treasures at the East Coast Museum, Swansea
Historians and family researchers gathered in Swansea at the end of August to share the history on display managed by the Spring Bay Historical Society. Arranged by museum curator and historian, Maureen Martin Ferris, we were joined by a group of enthusiastic historians from around the state. We were privileged to be granted a visit to the remains of the Rocky Hills Probation Station on Sunday morning. The site is being faithfully restored and repurposed as a family historical property.
Founders and Survivors are now looking to share resources with the Spring Bay Historical Society and a partnership page is currently being prepared for the our new website.
